These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Grad Study, including our website, learning platform, online courses, study materials, quizzes, assessments, videos, documents, communications, and any related services provided by Grad Study.
By accessing, registering for, or using Grad Study, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
1. About Grad Study
Grad Study is an online learning platform designed to support Grade 12 learners with educational content, study resources, quizzes, assessments, and related learning support.
Our initial courses include:
Mathematics
Physical Sciences
Accounting
More subjects and learning resources may be added over time.
Grad Study is intended to assist learners with exam preparation and subject understanding. It does not replace school attendance, teacher instruction, official curriculum materials, or advice from a qualified educator.
2. Eligibility
Grad Study is mainly intended for Grade 12 learners in South Africa.
If you are under the age of 18, you confirm that you have permission from your parent or legal guardian to register for and use Grad Study.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising the use of Grad Study by learners under 18.
Grad Study may request confirmation of parental or guardian consent where required.
3. User Accounts
To access certain parts of Grad Study, you may need to register an account.
When registering, you agree to:
provide accurate and complete information;
keep your login details confidential;
not share your account with other users;
update your information if it changes;
notify Grad Study if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
Grad Study may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe that your account has been misused, shared, used fraudulently, or used in breach of these Terms.
4. Free Access
Grad Study may provide free access to courses, materials, quizzes, or other learning resources.
Free access does not mean that all future Grad Study services will always be free. Grad Study may introduce paid products, premium features, tutoring sessions, revision packs, certificates, live classes, or other paid services in future.
Where a service is paid, the relevant price and payment terms will be displayed before you purchase.
5. Launch Promotions and Prize Pool
Grad Study may run launch promotions, competitions, giveaways, or prize pools from time to time.
For the launch promotion, eligible registered users may be entered into a prize pool worth up to R5,000, subject to the applicable promotional rules.
Unless stated otherwise:
promotions are open only to South African Grade 12 learners;
users must provide accurate registration details;
duplicate, fake, incomplete, or fraudulent registrations may be disqualified;
Grad Study may verify learner identity, school details, grade, and contact information before awarding any prize;
prizes are not transferable unless Grad Study agrees in writing;
cash alternatives are not available unless specifically stated;
Grad Study’s decision regarding eligibility and prize awards is final, subject to applicable law.
Full promotion details, draw dates, winner selection processes, and verification requirements may be published separately by Grad Study.
6. Educational Content
Grad Study aims to provide accurate, useful, and exam-relevant educational content. However, we do not guarantee that:
all content will be error-free;
all content will always be up to date;
all explanations will match every school’s teaching method;
using Grad Study will guarantee a pass, distinction, admission to university, bursary, or any specific academic outcome.
Learners are responsible for studying consistently, completing schoolwork, consulting their teachers, and using official examination guidelines and materials where applicable.
If you identify an error in our content, you may report it to us for review.
7. No Guarantee of Results
Grad Study is a study support platform. Your academic performance depends on many factors, including your effort, school attendance, prior knowledge, study habits, exam preparation, and the quality of support you receive from teachers and guardians.
Grad Study does not guarantee:
improved marks;
passing any subject;
passing matric;
achieving a specific symbol or percentage;
university admission;
employment, bursaries, or scholarships.
Any examples, testimonials, or success stories shared by Grad Study are for information and motivation only and do not guarantee that you will achieve the same result.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Grad Study responsibly and lawfully.
You must not:
copy, sell, upload, distribute, or share Grad Study content without permission;
share your login details with others;
attempt to hack, damage, overload, or interfere with the platform;
upload viruses, malware, or harmful code;
use Grad Study for unlawful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or harmful conduct;
impersonate another person;
create fake accounts;
submit false information;
scrape, download, or reproduce large parts of the platform without permission;
use Grad Study content to create a competing product or service;
harass tutors, learners, staff, or other users;
post offensive, defamatory, obscene, or inappropriate content.
Grad Study may remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts where these rules are breached.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on Grad Study, including notes, videos, quizzes, tests, memoranda, explanations, graphics, logos, branding, downloadable materials, and platform design, belongs to Grad Study or its licensors, unless otherwise stated.
You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to access and use Grad Study content for your own learning purposes.
You may not, without written permission from Grad Study:
copy or reproduce our content;
distribute our materials to others;
sell or resell our content;
upload our content to another website, group, platform, or social media page;
use our content for commercial tutoring, teaching, publishing, or training;
remove branding, copyright notices, or watermarks;
modify our content and present it as your own.
Unauthorized use of Grad Study content may result in account termination and legal action.
10. User-Submitted Content
Grad Study may allow users to submit answers, quiz responses, comments, questions, messages, reviews, or other content.
By submitting content to Grad Study, you confirm that:
the content is your own or you have the right to submit it;
the content is not unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, or inappropriate;
the content does not infringe any third-party rights.
You grant Grad Study permission to use submitted content for platform operation, learner support, quality improvement, moderation, analytics, and educational purposes.
Grad Study may remove user-submitted content at any time if we consider it inappropriate or in breach of these Terms.
11. Tutors, Live Sessions, and Additional Support
Grad Study may offer live classes, tutoring sessions, group revision sessions, or additional learner support.
Where tutoring or live sessions are offered:
availability may be limited;
session times may change;
tutors may differ by subject or availability;
sessions may be recorded for quality, safety, training, or educational purposes;
users must behave respectfully during sessions;
disruptive users may be removed from sessions.
If paid tutoring or paid live sessions are introduced, separate payment, cancellation, refund, and attendance rules may apply.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
Grad Study may contain links to third-party websites, videos, documents, platforms, payment providers, or other resources.
These links are provided for convenience only. Grad Study does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, content, policies, availability, or security.
You access third-party services at your own risk and should review their terms and privacy policies.
13. Platform Availability
Grad Study aims to keep the platform available and functional. However, we do not guarantee that the platform will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.
Access may be affected by:
maintenance;
updates;
technical problems;
internet connectivity issues;
hosting failures;
security incidents;
events outside our control.
Grad Study may change, suspend, remove, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time.
14. Privacy and Personal Information
Grad Study collects and processes personal information in order to provide and improve the platform, manage user accounts, communicate with users, run promotions, provide learner support, and comply with legal obligations.
Personal information may include information such as your name, contact details, school, grade, subject interests, quiz results, learning progress, device information, and platform activity.
Where users are under 18, Grad Study may require parent or guardian consent where appropriate.
Grad Study will process personal information in accordance with applicable South African privacy laws, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013.

15. Communications
By registering for Grad Study, you agree that we may send you platform-related communications, including:
account notifications;
course updates;
learning reminders;
assessment feedback;
promotion updates;
prize pool or competition notices;
service announcements;
support messages.
Where required by law, you may opt out of marketing communications. However, we may still send you important service-related messages.
16. Payments, Refunds, and Paid Services
Grad Study may currently provide free access to selected content and services. If Grad Study later introduces paid services, the price, payment method, access period, refund rules, and cancellation terms will be displayed before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, paid digital products may be non-refundable once accessed, downloaded, or used, subject to applicable law.
Grad Study may use third-party payment providers to process payments. We are not responsible for delays, failures, or errors caused by third-party payment systems, but we will reasonably assist where possible.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grad Study will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage arising from your use of the platform.
This includes, but is not limited to:
loss of data;
loss of opportunity;
academic disappointment;
failed examinations;
inability to access the platform;
reliance on incorrect or outdated content;
third-party service failures;
unauthorised access caused by your failure to protect login details.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not allowed by law.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Grad Study harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:
your breach of these Terms;
your misuse of the platform;
your infringement of intellectual property rights;
your unlawful conduct;
content you submit to Grad Study;
your sharing of login details or unauthorized use of your account.
19. Suspension and Termination
Grad Study may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if:
you breach these Terms;
you misuse the platform;
you provide false information;
you infringe intellectual property rights;
your conduct creates risk for Grad Study, other users, or third parties;
we are required to do so by law.
You may stop using Grad Study at any time.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that arose before termination.
20. Changes to These Terms
Grad Study may update these Terms from time to time.
When we make material changes, we may notify users by posting the updated Terms on the website, sending a notice, or using another reasonable method.
Your continued use of Grad Study after changes are published means that you accept the updated Terms.
